Netflix upcoming film CUTIES has been making headlines from the past few weeks for the wrong reasons, after receiving such a severe backlash for the official poster of CUTIES, the director of the movie Cuties Miamouna Doucoure and the French filmmaker revealed in an interview that the director received death threats while doing the film.
While the audience demanded Netflix to cancel the premiere of the film Cuties because of its Poster and Trailer.
CUTIES: Director Revealed She Received Death Threats
Cuties Film director Maimouna Doucoure, 35, told in an interview that she has faced so much of online abuse after Netflix revealed its marketing materials for the movie promotion. She also said that those were not the representative materials of the movie and also was not connecting to the message she wanted to give with the film.
She said that ” Things were happening very quickly after the delay due to the pandemic and she was concentrating on the release of the movie in France, she came to know about the poster, when the American audience started posting against it.”
Director also revealed that “She received many attacks on her character from people who never saw the film, she received many death threats for the poster and the trailer of the film Cuties.” “It was a strange experience for her because she never faced it before that too for the wrong reasons.”

The film Cuties is finally set to arrive on September 9th of the year 2024 on Netflix, after so much of allegations and negative reviews about the trailer and the poster of the film.
