Dangerous Lies is a thriller in what feels like the second part of ‘Knives Out’ particularly the bit in which Marta inherits all that Harlan has, concentrating on Katie and her uplifted life as she falls into a fortune.

Plot Details:
When Katie Franklin loses her work as a waitress, she takes another career job for a wealthy older man who lives on a large, empty estate in Chicago. In his last days, Katie grows close to the older man.
When he passes away suddenly, the man chooses Katie as his only heir. Katie and her husband Adam, are then drawn into a complex web of lies, disappointment, and killing as she and her husband’s lives endanger them.
If Katie is to survive, she must challenge the motivations of everyone, including those of the people she loves.
I should not, of course, note the similarities of Knives Out, because the hilarious whodunit that graced us in this cozy sweater with Chris Evans also revolves around a caretaker who left his fortune after his employer died of unknown reasons.
