Jane Fonda was taken into custody in climate Catastrophe protest in Washington

Jane Fonda:

Jane Fonda has been taken into police custody Friday at Washington, DC, while engaging in a climate catastrophe demonstration.

The incident comes as the celebrity and activist, started her”Fire Drill Fridays” campaign, a civil disobedience attempt to boost awareness of ecological challenges.

“The United States Capitol Police detained 16 people for unlawfully displaying about the East Front of the U.S. Capitol,” Eva Malecki, spokeswoman for the Capitol police told NationEditions.

All were charged with”crowding, obstructing or incommoding,” she explained.
While Malecki didn’t affirm Fonda was one of those detained, Fonda’s effort shared a picture of her being taken into custody.

Added witnesses shared video on interpersonal networking.
NationEditions has contacted Fonda’s agents for comment.

At a recent interview with The Los Angeles Times, Fonda said she had been motivated to act by ecological activist Greta Thunberg.
