James Deen’s net worth and salary: James Deen is a $3 million dollar adult film star from the United States. To date, James Deen, also known as Bryan Matthew Sevilla, has starred in over 1,500 adult scenes and directed a few more. James allegedly earned up to $20,000 per month working in the adult business and via his numerous social media and hosting efforts during the height of his career. He earned news as Lindsay Lohan’s co-star in Bret Easton Ellis’ film “The Canyons,” which was released in 2013.
James started working in the adult business when he was 18 years old, in 2004. He first rose to prominence because of his slim build and lack of tattoos, which set him apart from the industry’s traditional hyper-masculinity. Multiple women, including both of Deen’s ex-girlfriends, accused him of sexual assault and rape in 2015.
Bryan Matthew Sevilla was James Deen’s given name when he was born in 1986 in Los Angeles, California. His mother, a computer electrical engineer, and father, a mechanical engineer, reared him in Pasadena. Deen dropped out of high school when he was about 15 and lived on the streets for two years. He eventually returned to finish his studies and graduated from La Caada High School in 2004. He attended courses at Pasadena City College while working at Starbucks for a number of years.

Deen has collaborated with porn actress Andy San Dimas, adult industry news site XBIZ, and adult app shop MiKandi to produce the first adult film production using Google Glass in 2013.
On the non-pornographic side of things, Deen gave the keynote speech at the University of Wisconsin, Madison’s Sexual Health Fest. In early 2013, he helped raise funds on Kickstarter.com for the steampunk Western film “Cowboys & Engines,” on which he was also listed as the producer. Later that year, Deen costarred with Lindsay Lohan in the thriller film “The Canyons,” written by Bret Easton Ellis and directed by Paul Schrader.

Deen has won many awards for her work in pornographic films. He’s received Best Three-Way Sex Scene – Girl/Girl/Boy, Best Three-Way Sex Scene – Boy/Boy/Girl, Mainstream Star of the Year, Best Group Sex Scene, and Most Outrageous Sex Scene at the AVN awards, among other things. He won Best Male Performer three times at the NightMoves Awards, and he also won Best Male Performer at the XBIZ Awards. Meanwhile, he has won awards from the American X-Rated Critics Organization for Unsung Swordsman, Best On-Screen Chemistry, and Mainstream Adult Media Favorite at the XRCO Awards.
Personal Life and Advocacy: Deen started dating pornographic actress Joanna Angel in 2005, but the couple broke up in 2011. Deen then began dating another porn actress, Stoya, with whom he remained until 2014.
Deen has been engaged in industry-related activism. He joined the newly formed Adult Performer Advocacy Committee team in early 2014, a group that represents performers in the business, defends their rights, and evaluates and implements required new health and safety regulations. Deen served as the Committee’s treasurer and chairman until December 2015, when he voluntarily resigned due to sexual assault accusations.
Allegations of Sexual Misconduct: In 2015, Deen was accused of rape by porn star and former girlfriend Stoya on Twitter. Joanna Angel, his other ex-girlfriend, came to Stoya’s defense and talked on “The Jason Ellis Show” about her own mistreatment by Deen. Following this, a slew of additional pornographers came out to share their own stories of sexual abuse. Deen was excessively harsh during their shooting, according to Bree Olson, and another adult actor Brian Street Team backed up the claims. As a result, pornographic businesses like as Kink.com, HardX.com, and Evil Angel have cut all connections with Deen. The Frisky, a women’s leisure and lifestyle website, also deleted previous advertisements relating to the performer’s site and terminated his sexual advice column.
In 2017, Deen was accused of taking legal releases from filmmaker Maria Demopoulos’ office in an effort to prevent the publication of a documentary about the rape accusations leveled against him. Demopoulos responded by filing a lawsuit against the performance.
