Hocus Pocus Star Teases Interest To Return For A Reboot

As well as earlier this year, Disney announced that they would be playing the 90’s cult classic Hocus Pocus, with Adam Shankman as director. They are developing a highly anticipated sequel. While it is speculated that the original cast of Bette Midler, Sarah Jessica Parker, and Kathy Nazimy will return in a recent interview on Serious XM, Parker reports that the trio has come up with the idea to reopen their respective roles.

Parker revealed the idea related to the Hocus Pocus in which she, Katty, Bette are very hospitable about this idea and she thinks fans are already talking about it, but we weren’t aware of it. The sequel will be written by workaholic writer and co-producer Jane D’Angelo, however, there are currently no further details on the cast or plot.

The original 1993 fantasy comedy was directed by Kenny Ortega and portrayed three witches from Midler, Parker, and Najimy, who are currently resurrected on Halloween in Salem, Massachusetts.

The fan can catch up on Hocus Pocus at Disney Plus!!

However, Hocus-Pocus becomes a Halloween favorite since the year 1993. Thora Birch, who also appeared in the original movie as Dani Dennison, also wants to appear in the sequel, which is supposed to be a follow-up to the original movie rather than a reboot. This approach would appeal to many fans of the 1993 film and would suit the lives of Birch and other characters, particularly in the years when they first confronted the Sanderson sisters.

Shankman, whose previous work includes hairspray, is sure to give Hocus Pocus 2 a solid comical touch, echoing Kenny Ortega’s efforts in 1993. Waiting for more official news from Disney, and perhaps too soon with the release of Halloween, the fan can catch up on Hocus Pocus at Disney Plus, where he recently received a 4K Ultra HD retouch for the streaming service.
