Doctor Strange 2: Chiwetel Ejiofor Talked About Reprising The Role Of Mordo In The Sequel

The return of the famous character Baron Mordo in Doctor Strange has confirmed by Chiwetel Ejiofor.

Marvel Studios is working on completing the first Phase 4 projects, some of which have become more complex due to the coronavirus, while still developing several other films. After announcing a list until 2024 last year, the future of the Marvel Cinematic Universe has changed many times, but no film has changed like Doctor Strange 2, of course.

Marvel confirmed the return of Mordo:

Marvel confirmed Doctor Strange in Multiverse of Madness in 2019. The movie teased the first MCU horror movie, and director Scott Derrickson returned before the 2024 release date. Kevin Feige wasn’t just hoping to be a horror movie about Doctor Strange 2, but Derrickson abandoned the project and was replaced by Sam Raimi. However, instead of rushing to complete the May 2024 release, Doctor Strange 2 has been delayed twice due to the coronavirus. The MCU has left fans without much good news about the project, so far it’s late.

Wong mentions as Benedict Wong that he summons all wizards during the final battle of Avengers: Endgame.

However, Mordo was not seen, or perhaps was not shown, while the others were fighting Thanos and his foreign army. When asked what Baron Mordo was actually doing during the final battle of the final game, Chiwetel Ejiofor said that everything would be revealed. Irritated that his character was something like that from the first movie and during Avengers: Endgame.

The sequel of Doctor Strange may feature Elizabeth Olsen, who will be claiming her Marvel Cinematic Universe role as Scarlett Witch/Wanda Maximoff. The movie is reported to be associated with the Disney + series, WandaVision. With Sam Raimi as director, Michael Waldron is asked to rewrite the script. Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness is scheduled to be released on March 25, 2024.
