Matrix 4 is an upcoming sci-fi action movie of the Matrix franchise. Matrix 4 is directed and co-written by Lana Wachowski, one of the two Wachowskis sisters who directed the previous three movies of the franchise. This movie is the fourth movie of The Matrix franchise.
Warner Bros. officially declared that Keanu Reeves would go back as Neo in Matrix 4. Neo is a rebel leader fighting the machines. The studio also said that Carrie-Anne Moss would also come back to Matrix 4 as Trinity.
The Matrix franchise has earned a profit of more than $1.6 billion worldwide. Critics have praised the original movie for its visual aesthetics and novel action series. Warner Bros. Pictures and Village Roadshow will together produce Matrix 4.
Release Date
Warner Bros has confirmed that the Matrix 4 will be released on 21 May 2024, which is exactly the same release date of Keanu Reeves’ John Wick 4.

Keanu Reeves is set to return in Matrix 4 as Thomas A. Anderson / Neo, Jada Pinkett Smith is also set to cast in Matrix 4 as Niobe, and Carrie-Anne Moss will also return in Matrix 4 as Trinity.
Yahya Abdul-Mateen II, Toby Onwumere, Max Riemelt, Neil Patrick Harris, Eréndira Ibarra, Jonathan Groff, Jessica Henwick, Andrew Caldwell, Priyanka Chopra, and Brian J. Smith are also rumored to cast in Matrix 4.
Storyline Of Matrix 4
There is not much shown till now about the storyline of Matrix 4. Earlier, during a conversation, Lana Wachowski stated in a statement that ‘Plenty of the concepts [sister] Lilly [Wachowski] and I examined 20 years ago about our reality is even more appropriate now. I am very happy to have these characters back in my life and thankful for another opportunity to work with my brilliant friends.’ Lana did not tell much about the plot of the movie, but it will be interesting to see what Matrix 4 has for the fans and its viewers.
