Kobe Bryant Is The Final NBA2K Cover Athlete

NBA 2K21 presents the latest announcements to assign coverage athletes. This week, we found out that Damien Lillard of the Blazers would be one of the elections. However, the player recently selected for the cover did not surprise us at all. In fact, it is a gesture to honor a legend who has given his blood, sweat, and tears to the game.

You can’t statistically analyze what this man did for the NBA. Kobe Bryant is probably one of the best players of all time, and he doesn’t compare his records to any good. Anthony Davis was NBA cover athlete 2K20, Damien Lillard would be in the cover photo for PS4, Xbox One, PC, Nintendo Switch.

Kobe Bryant died earlier this year in a helicopter crash that left the entire NBA fraternity in shock. The Lakers icon beat the game and was one of the best players to play. As such, it seems an appropriate tribute to introduce the Lakers star as one of the cover athletes in this year’s edition of the game.

NBA 2K21 pays tribute to Kobe Bryant

We discovered that New Orleans Pelicans player Sion Williamson would be second in line after Damian Lillard as a cover athlete. It became quite clear that 2K was holding up big news for good reason. This was expected of 2K when Kobe retired in 2016, turning him into an athlete in the Legends Edition 2K17.

He was also the main cover athlete for 2K10. The tragedy with him and his family shook the entire world. 2K has undoubtedly paid tribute to the Black Mamba.

Release date still uncertain

We already had 2K19 and 2K20 as a shoemaker player, so we can expect that again. As for the release date, nothing was certain. 2K kept things tight. However, after the third and final athlete was revealed for the cover, he officially announced the pre-order. Although not yet
