Disney has released the upcoming adaptation of “Artemis Fowl” from its theatrical release and the film will now premiere exclusively on its Disney + streaming service.

It’s unclear when the movie will be available on Disney +, but it will be sometime in the summer. Why has such a change from theatrical release to Disney+ has been taken?
The change to “Artemis Foul” occurs when all theatrical releases are being shuffled and delayed, some for a year, while movie theatres remain closed during the coronavirus epidemic. The film stars Shaw Fair as a young thief, whose plans are to wage a fight against supernatural forces Colin Farrell, Josh Gad and Judy Dench.
Statement Issued By A Disney+ Official Regarding This-
Ricky Strauss, president of content and marketing for Disney+ said: “With the public unable to attend large-scale theatres in today’s environment, we are delighted to offer the premiere of ‘Artemis Fowl’ at Disney+.” Director Kenneth Branagh and his prolific cast lead audiences into the vibrant and fictional world of the beloved book, which fans have been waiting to see in screen life for years. This is great family entertainment that is perfect for the Disney+ summer lineup.
