Hamilton: Disney+ Shares The First Clip Of The Upcoming Movie

DISNEY+ HAMILTON trailer released!

Hamilton’s trailer was released on July 3 at Disney Plus, the minute-long preview features footage from Lin-Manuel Miranda’s Broadway musical. In the trailer, fans will surely be reunited with footage from the iconic opening number “Alexander Hamilton” show and Goldsberry’s song “Satisfied”.

According to the report, the film was shot in 2016 at The Richard Rodgers Theater on Broadway. According to Disney and producer Lin-Manuel Miranda, who tweeted the news in February, the film was originally expected to be released on October 5, 2024. The report indicated that the reason the release date was increased is unclear and maybe the coronavirus epidemic was a factor.

A rap-inspired musical about the life of Father Alexander Hamilton was originally slated to hit theatres on October 15, 2024, but Disney brought the release forward last month. While most movie theatres are still closed due to the coronavirus epidemic, the film is one of the most anticipated releases in a few silent months.

The cast includes

  • Miranda in the lead role
  • Daveed Diggs as Marquis de Lafayette / Thomas Jefferson
  • Renee Elise Goldsberry as Angelica Schuyler
  • Jonathan Groff as King George
  • Christopher Jackson as George Washington
  • Jasmine Cephas Jones as Peggy Schuyler / Maria Reynolds
  • Leslie Odom Jr. as Aaron Burr
  • Okieriete Onaodowan as Hercules Mulligan / James Madison
  • Anthony Ramos as John Laurens / Philip Hamilton
  • Phillipa soo as Eliza Hamilton

Director Tommy Kail directed both the stage version and the film, which consisted of filming three live performances and also some montage shots without an audience. All of the footage was used to create multiple angles, ensuring the cinematic nature of the event.

Disney paid $ 75 million for Miranda’s music rights, a powerful fee for the program to launch on Broadway in 2015. At the 2016 Tony Awards, “Hamilton” had a record 16 nominations and won 11 of them, including Best Musical. He also holds the 2016 Pulitzer Prize
