According to Guardia di Finanza (Finance Police), on Saturday, a 35-year-old woman and two kids have died following an avalanche hit a ski slope in the Italian Alps.
According to a source, the avalanche took place about midday on Saturday at the Val Senales glacier in South Tyrol, a region in northern Italy close to the Austrian outpost.
The authority of the Finance Police, Alpine rescue, and Carabinieri went to the incident, with support from three helicopters and dog units trained in avalanche exploration and salvation.
According to a finance police source, the dead bodies of a 7-year-old girl and a 35-year-old woman were received buried under the snowfall, but they did not speak the name of the dead people as they did not have authority to tell to the press.
The source continued, the 7-year-old girl died when en way to Santa Chiara hospital in Trento by helicopter.
The all three dead people who are considered to be German and were regular skiers.
The two other skiers suffered minor wounds while two more were recovered from under the snowfall, according to the information provided by the sources.
On Sunday morning, Magistrates in Trento have started an investigation and were gone to the happening scene.
They will inspect the site and evaluate if proper security standards were in a spot on the ski slopes.
The authority has not excluded the likelihood the avalanche was made by off-piste skiers, according to the reports.
