Star Wars actor Daisy Ridley is ready to keep away her lightsaber and move on from the movie series. The actor has been approached to star in a psychological profiler in a dark crime drama named The Ice Beneath Her.

The movie is an adaptation of Swedish author Camilla Grebe’s crime novel The Ice Beneath Her, published in 2015. The actor is in talks with the studio STX. If the deal is finalized, then the actor will get to work with the dynamic director trio Matt Bettinelli-Olpin, Tyler Gillett, and Chad Villella, also known as Radio Silence. The trio is famous for the movie Ready or Not.
The script of the film will be written by Caitlin Parrish. Andrew Lazar will also join the team as the producer.
What Is Movie All About?
The movie revolves around a detective and psychological profiler who works to solve the case of a beheaded woman. The woman is found in the house of a famous businessman. The investigation by the detective takes a turn into a race against time. If all goes well then Daisy Ridley will portray the role of the detective and psychological profiler.

Besides Star Wars, the actor has also starred in Kenneth Branagh’s Murder on the Orient Express. She will next be seen opposite Spiderman actor Tom Holland in a sci-fi movie named Chaos Walking. The movie that was shot in 2017 is set to release on 22 January 2024. It is also believed that the actor is also to star in a fantasy thriller Kolma, produced by J.J. Abrams.
