The sequel film has yet not received any green signal from the studio. While the film did not end well for the two villains, while one managed to outlive the other somehow. So there’s a strong possibility of a second film happening soon enough!

The Studio Has Not Yet Given The sequel A Green Light.
The studio is in no rush to produce the second film as they already have a white a few big-budget films in the coming year. With highly anticipated films like Wonder Woman 1984, The Batman, The Suicide Squad, Black Adam, Shazam! 2, The Flash, and Aquaman 2, fans have to wait for a while to see what’s next for Harley Quinn and her gang. The studio has not revealed any sudden plans regarding a potential Birds of Prey sequel.
In the first film, the gang was pretty much successful in tackling the villains, so with filmmakers pushing their creative boundaries, there might be a female villain in the sequel who will give the three women some tough competition for power. A traditional make villain is not something that we might be looking forward to in the sequel. Moreover, we might see more escapades as far as the gang is concerned, they will be out to look out for more lives to save. We might get more backstory in the sequel about the other characters as well.

However, the first film could not meet the expectations that the studio had in the film. While the overall box office collection was good enough, it was not what was expected. While fans seem to have thought that the film lacked a proper storyline along with the sole focus given on Harley Quinn’s character for most of the time.
