Well, well, well, HBO is now going to continue the voyage of Avenue 5. The premium cable outlet has renewed the show for a second season.
Avenue 5 has been renewed for another season!
Avenue 5 excels in the genre of science, comedy as well as fiction from Veep creator Armando Iannucci. The renewal of this show comes as a surprise because it has just aired four episodes since its debut on the 19th of January.
Back on Thursday, in a statement, Amy Gravitt, the programming executive at HBO, said that they had loved every minute of Avenue 5 and its inaugural voyage.

She added that Armando Iannucci and his team are masters of smart and biting comedy. At the same time, the ensemble cast members who are brilliantly captained by Hugh Laurie, are second to none. Amy also said that they could not wait to see what is in store for their hapless heroes in a second season.
The show takes place on a cruise ship in space and follows the crew as well as the passengers when something goes very wrong during a voyage.
Iannucci says he wants to make a second season of Avenue 5!
Iannucci said that it was so great to be back again with HBO for the first season of Avenue 5 so she is doubly thrilled that HBO has now seen fit to put Captain Ryan Clark and his passengers and other crew members through even more physical and emotional lot next year too.
