Back in 2017, CBC and Netflix came up with the period drama series titled Anne With An E. It is inspired by the Canadian novel titled Anne of Green Gables by Lucy Maud Montgomery. It is created by Moira Walley-Beckett and produced by Susan Murdoch and John Calvert. The series set in the late 19th century and centers on the adventures of a young orphan girl named Anne. Total three seasons released so far on CBC and Netflix.

So, CBC and Netflix not renewed the period drama series for a fourth season and decided to cancel it just after three seasons. The cancelation news appeared back in the previous year soon after the release of the third season. But still, fans are hoping for the series renewal as they are not ready to say goodbye to the series.

Reason For The Cancelation Of Anne With An E Season 4
So back in the previous year, it was revealed that CBC cut ties with Netflix in co-production with Netflix because they develop deals that damage the long-term viability of the domestic industry. So that’s the main reason for the cancelation of the series as per CBC.
Then another reason given for the cancelation of the series and that is the audience growth.
Fans Trying To Save Anne With An E
After fans heard that CBC and Netflix have canceled the show, they got furious and started demanding the renewal of the series for a fourth season. They started campaigns and even on Twitter, they began the hashtag #renewannewithane. Fans also crowdfunded to build billboards in Toronto and New York City.
Apart from the common people, celebrities like actor Ryan Reynolds and singer Sam Smith also showed their support for saving the series.
