Animated Transformers Spin off Is In Development At Paramount

Josh Collie director of Toy Story 4 is using an animated movie from the Transformer prequel to Paramount Pictures and Hasbro’s entertainment studio eOne.

According to Deadline

The film will take place on the planet of Transformers, home of Cybertron, and will focus on the relationship between the leaders of Autobot and Decepticon, Optimus Prime and Megatron, respectively.

The latest installment in the fan-favorite franchise. Ant-Man and Ant-Man and Wasp wrote Andrew Barrer and Gabriel Ferrari, writing scripts for the upcoming Transformers prequel, producing Hasbro.

The new animated film is also reportedly not to be part of the Transformers and Bumblebee live films, nor of future projects in development. The site also claims that the animated movie is speeding up since most of the work can be done, leaving those behind the scenes at home while it was a live-action project.

Andrew Barrer and Gabriel Ferrari were part of the original Transformers Writers’ Room, created in September 2015. The announcement was the first time an animated film focusing on Cybron’s origins had been released.
