Season one of the show premiered in June 2019. The show was renewed for the second season in May 2019, just one month before the series was launched.

Amphibia’s Storyline
Amphibia is the story of an American Thai origin girl named Anne Boonchuy. The show follows the adventures of the self-centered teenage girl. Anne steals a mysterious musical chest on her birthday. She is transported to Amphibia by magic. Amphibia is a wild marshy island full of anthropomorphic frogs and giant versions of smaller animals. In the wild marshy island, Anne befriends an adventurous 10-year-old frog named Sprig Plantar. The teenaged girl gets a companion in the frog. The frog guides her to become a true hero in reality. Anne learns to be a hero by exploring the first true friendship of her life while she lives with the Plantar family.
