Kit Harington Black Knight is reportedly wearing a comic costume for Chloe Zhao’s The Eternals.
According to The Direct, comic readers will easily recognize Harrington as the Black Knight in the movie. The report stated that the pre-production for Eternals was fast, meaning that many costumes weren’t ready on time, but would be added to the post. Although Harrington was seen wearing modern clothes with Gemma Chan’s Cersei in a behind-the-scenes photo, this would not be Whitman’s last appearance.
When Harrington joined the cast of the Marvel Cinematic Universe Phase 4
He was heralded as a sword-wielding character, leading many to speculate that he was Dan Whitman, aka Black Knight Playing a Role. Now, it appears that Black Knight will be sporting his characteristic armor in The Eternals during the film. It is unclear if the Black Knight will keep his helmet or if he will receive updates.
The report notes that Tom Holland’s Iron Spider suit was added to post-production for Avengers: Infinity War and Avengers: Endgame. Elsewhere, Robert Downey Jr.’s various Iron Man suits are no stranger to receiving CGI treatment.
Eternals production is currently suspended due to the coronavirus epidemic (COVID-19).
Because of that, The Eternals were moved further from its November 2024 release date to February 2024. Hopefully, the overtime should ensure that the film marks Harington’s debut as Black Knight.
Chloe Zhao is the director and the screenplay by Mattew and Ryan Firpo.
