The series Lionsgate’s horror film Antebellum starring Janelle Monae will release in theaters shows in North America on Aug. 21. The progress is a vote of confidence that moviegoing in the U.S. will be back in full swing by the late summer. Lionsgate’s Antebellum is got directed by the artist Gerard Bush and Christopher Renz had basically occurred set for theatrical announcement back in April, but it was got bumped for obvious reasons.

The Lionsgate’s decision follows that of many other major studios, including Disney studio, which finally took Marvel’s Black Widow off the announcement calendar. The studio had already delayed Mulan indefinitely, though it also made Frozen 2 available three months early to Disney+ subscribers. Meanwhile, across town, Universal decided to pause its tentpole F9 a full year, though the Disney studio is making new statements such as The Invisible Man, The Hunt, and Emma available on VOD this weekend in an effort to entertain the quarantined masses.
