The dramatic family of NBC debuted in 2017 with its centers, in addition to their children-Kevin (Justin Hartley), Kate (Chrissy Metz), and Randall (Sterling K. Brown)-in Jack (Milo Ventimiglia) and Rebecca (Mandy Moore) Pearson. The plot stretches for decades, with the show taking a non-linear narrative style, alternating between the past and the present.
The first three seasons of This Is Us based primarily on the patriarch of the family, Jack. Audiences heard about his poor childhood in Vietnam as well as his time with brother Nicky (Griffin Dunne). However, as we go over its heart, the focus has begun to turn to Rebecca. Tips for her future were pointed out in the final episodes of Season 3, and Season 4 offered further insights into what is in store for her growth.
Renewal Of Season 5 And Season 6:
NBC has renewed this for 4-6 seasons before the end of season 3 with its consistently high rating results. This means that the series is closed until season 6, at least. The two-year renewal in the middle of the first season confirmed the series until 2018. This means that fans of the iconic family comedy/drama don’t have to wait endlessly for news that the Pearsons will be back for season 5.
Release Date:
This is Us premieres in the third September week, after the usual autumn television season. Given this, it is safe to assume that the intention is to debut still this is around season 5, but this year things may be very different because of the current crisis triggered by the outbreak of the coronavirus.

Plot Details:
While Rebecca’s story begins, it’s fair to conclude that this is Season 5, which begins to concentrate on her emotional impairment that the flash-forward audience has now seen a few times.
Similar to how Jack’s life showed various points in the first three seasons, viewers would expect to see her in different phases in her life with the same care for the Pearson Matriarch. We may know some of her family histories at the start of her love affair with Jack so that we might see more of her during her younger days. It is our 4th season. We may also eventually discover how Miguel (Jon Huertas) started her relationship.
As far as the Big Three is concerned, Randall’s life as a councilman has been overshadowed in the last few periods of the fourth year of This Is Us as his story centered on his issues, but he will still be an essential part of his story in this season.
