Many viewers, however, found Mitch’s last scene in the first season finale to be the end of the road for him. “We want him back in Season 2. It’s work, but it’s not done yet,” revealed Ehrin.

Nevertheless, Ehrin says she “does not contribute to the press.” She has no interest in writing about what is happening in the White House.

According to Ehrin, “there is a lot about the transition,” which means that the Morning Show will continue to anchor Alex Levy (played by Jennifer Aniston) and Bradley Jackson (played by Reese Witherspoon). However, they spoke on air against the network President in the last episode. Mitch Kessler (played by Steve Carell), a former co-anchor who has been charged with sexual misconduct, will continue to face the ramifications of his crime, whether or not he acknowledged it.
Ehrin says that all of the characters — Alex, Bradley, Chip, and Mitch, in particular — pick up the piece just in the 2nd season: “It looks like a huge building has collapsed on everyone, and they’re going to get out of the rubble.”
