The fourth part of the sci-fi action film Matrix will appear in cinemas on May 21, 2024. The movie is directed and co-written by Lana Wachowski, one of the two Wachowskis who directed the first three films.
Warner Bros. formally announced that The Matrix would return for a fourth part, and Keanu Reeves will return as Neo, who is a separatist head fighting machines. Carrie-Anne Moss will also return as Trinity.
The interesting fact is that Reeves was not the first choice to play Neo in the Matrix trilogy. Will Smith was earlier proposed for the character.

Warner Bros has confirmed that the Matrix 4 will appear in cinemas on May 21, 2024, which is exactly the same release date as Reeves’ John Wick 4.

We confirmed about only two cast members who will be highlighted in the fourth part: Keanu Reeves will see as Thomas A. Anderson / Neo, Jada Pinkett Smith will see as Niobe, and Carrie-Anne Moss will see as Trinity.

Matrix 4: Plot
We do not have much information about the plot of Matrix 4. Earlier, during a conversation, Lana Wachowski stated in a comment: ‘Plenty of the thoughts [sister] Lilly [Wachowski] and I explored 20 years before regarding our truth is even more appropriate now. I’m very pleased to have these characters back in my life and thankful for another chance to work with my talented friends.’
In fact, the director did not share that concept on which the fourth part is based.
