The Boys Season 2: Release Date Confirmed At Amazon Prime Videos?

Amazon’s The Boys becomes the squeaky-clean superhero model on its head. The show is based on the comic book series of the same name by Garth Ennis and Darick Robertson, and the show is about a vigilante group eponymously called “The Boys” whose purpose is to bring down the nation’s top superheroes, who are, for the most part, under the direction of mega-corporation Vought International and usually corrupt as hell. In a society where superheroes are celebrities subject to the whims, promotion, and privileges of a significant company, things are forced to get dark and dirty.

Season 1 of the series only premiered in late July, but it does not look like we are going to have to remain too long for Season 2 — Amazon stated that it had already renewed the series for the second season in 2019’s San Diego Comic-Con. Production appears to be rolling along: executive producers Seth Rogen and Evan Goldberg said in August 2019 that they had already seen the first episode of Season 2.

When will Season 2 ‘The Boys’ Release?

Filming newly covered on The Boys Season 2, and per an Instagram post from actor Karl Urban, the show is expected to hit Amazon Video in mid-2020.

Trailer Of Season 2

Amazon issued a short teaser for Season 2 of The Boys in December 2019 at the Comic-Con Event in Brazil.

Most of the original cast of season 1 will return for Season 2. That includes Karl Urban as Billy Butcher, Laz Alonso as Mother’s Milk, Jack Quaid as Hughie, Karen Fukuhara as The Female, and Tomer Kapon as Frenchie. Malcolm Barrett, a Timeless veteran, will return as Seth Reed, a marketing executive at Vought, who had a few touching moments in Season 1 of The Boys.
