Suicide Squad’s David Ayer Opened Up On A Potential Fan Theory Of Joker

David Ayer’s Suicide Squad released in 2016. It received mixed reviews from the audience. the movie made a lot of money. It also won an Academy Award for its makeup. The movie did not leave an impact on the audience and the critics. Many have been disappointed with how Jared Leto’s Joker was handled.

Tattoos On Joker

Since the release of the movie, the fans have always questioned the number of tattoos that adorned the Clown Prince of Crime’s body. The word ‘Damaged’ that was tattooed on his forehead stood apart.

Fan Theories Online

The fans have been coming up with various theories to find the reason behind the tattoos on Joker’s body. One fan recently put up a compelling theory related to the tattoo Damaged stamped on Joker’s forehead. Some related it to Robin’s death and a few to his relationship with Harley Quinn.

The fan’s theory was that Batman damaged the smile of Clown Prince of Crime when he tried to take revenge for Robin’s death and failed. He scared the Joker. Joker got the word Damaged tattooed on his forehead to taunt, antagonize and infuriate Batman and remind him of his failure.

Confirmation By The Director Himself

David Ayer, the director of Suicide Squad himself confirmed the fan’s theory on the tattoo. He retweeted the fan’s theory and tweeted “Exactly” with it, confirming the reason behind the tattoo.

Even though fans will not be able to see Jared Leto portraying the role of Joker soon, they have something to rejoice over.
