The series begins in 2024. Seven years have passed since the world became a frozen wasteland. There is a gigantic train that perpetually travels around the globe. The train is inhabited by the remnants of humanity. The show raises several questions on pressing issues like class warfare, social injustice, and the politics of survival.

Members Of The Cast Of Snowpiercer

The series has a huge star cast. Jennifer Connelly is Melanie Cavill in the show. She heads the hospitality department on the train. Daveed Diggs has been roped in to portray the character of  Andre Layton.  Andre Layton is a former homicide detective. Now he is a prisoner on the train. Mickey Sumner plays the role of Bess Till. The cast also includes Alison Wright, Iddo Goldberg, Susan Park, Sam Otto, and Sheila Vand.

Rowan Blanchard, Steven Ogg, and Sean Bean are the new additions to the cast in season 2.

Snowpiercer airs in the United States on the TNT channel. Huanxi Media Group will broadcast season 1 and season 2 of the show in China. Netflix has acquired the rights to the show in the rest of the world.
