The last season came to an end after Luke Perry (who played the dad of fiery-haired teenage Archie) died, while production started three years earlier this year. The last three episodes of season three did not appear on the screen, although they were dedicated to his memories-and his character was written out of the show from the first episode of season four.
Furthermore, there are also more questions viewers would like to hear after the third season finale to show Archie, Betty, and Veronica burning their blood-drenched clothing.
While many people thought it was entirely up and down before the season, it did little too sedate Riverdale’s popularity. One of the most successful teen-dramas to date, possibly, the CW has hit gold with its modification of the classic Archie Comic, which this year is the spin-off.

Season 4 Riverdale will soon appear in Netflix USA, but before the season begins, it will have to air in full on the CW. Like the seasons before Netflix, the last season of Riverdale is about eight days after the final is broadcast.
The final of season 4 was scheduled for broadcast on 13 May 2024, but since then, episode 17 of the season has been postponed by a week.
If no further delays occur, it will be fair to say that the final transmission would take place on The CW on 20 May 2024.

Plot Details:
The producer announced a variety of plot points that we will see in season 4 at Riverdale’s SDCC 2019 panel. First of all, they won’t let Sabrina’s chilling adventures have all the fun. Next year, Riverdale will have its own special Halloween.
Jughead is also heading to a new pre-school, with Archie starting a band (naturally known as “The Archies”) and Veronica and Cheryl starting a maple script rum-running company.
Every season, the show has reinvented itself — learning from its failures along the way (i.e., making the plot of Black Hood drag on too long) and not necessarily afraid of leaning into strange stories. Charles would have a significant role to play in the 4th season, as he does not only research The Farm and Edgar Evernever but also complicates matters for the Cooper and Jones families.
