Power, a crime drama series is not a critically acclaimed series. But, it has been praised by many of its viewers for its intense depiction of gangs, nightclubs, and street wars. the show is highly character-driven. It has a great cast that includes big names such as Omari Hardwick, 50 Cent, Naturi Naughton, and many more. The show ended its sixth season and the fans are eagerly waiting for news on season 7.
Will There Be A Season 7?
Power premiered on Starz on June 7, 2014. Created by Courtney A. Kemp, the series aired 63 episodes in six seasons. Sixth Season of the show has been announced as the last season of the show. There will not be a Season 7 for Power.
Spin-Offs
The fans of the show need not be disappointed as Starz has announced 4 spin-offs of the series to take forward Power franchise. The first spin-off is power Book II. This spin-off will continue from where season six of Power ended.
Power Book II
Power Book II: Ghost will continue the journey of some of Power’s characters. Omari Hardwick who played the Ghost will not be part of the spin-off. His character was eradicated in Season 6. Singer Mary J Blige is part of the spin-off. Her presence in the show was announced at Starz TCA Panel.
Prequel or Sequel?
It is unknown whether Power Book II is a prequel to the Power series or it will be a sequel. It is too early to tell which characters will part of the new storyline.
A release date has not been announced, but it is expected that Power Book II: Ghost will release sometime in 2024.
