Gentleman Jack Season 2: When Will The Show Arriving?

Gentleman Jack is a historical television drama that airs on BBC One. The series has been created by Sally Wainwright. It is a co-production between BBC One and HBO. Season 1 of the series aired in 2019. The show was renewed for a second season by BBC just one day after the show aired on television.

Plot Of The Show

The show is based on the collected diaries of Lister. The diaries contain over four million words. It is written mostly in secret codes and documents the life of a lesbian the landowner and an industrialist named Anne Lister. The show how Anne defied society’s expectations and defined gender roles and how she started a romantic relationship with another woman.

Cast Of The Show

Suranne Jones portrays the role of industrialist Anne Lister. Sophie Rundle as Ann Walker, Joe Armstrong as Samuel Washington, Amelia Bullmore as Eliza Priestley, and Gemma Whelan as Marian Lister are also part of the cast.

Shooting Of Season 2

The filming for season 2 of Gentleman Jack was to commence in June. But, due to the spread of the Corona Virus all around the globe, the shooting of the second season has been pushed to September. Due to the ongoing pandemic and Social Distancing, the shooting may be further delayed.

Gemma Whelan’s Interview

Gemma Whelan who portrays the character of Marian Lister recently told in an interview that she has received the scripts of season two. She also said there is a lot to look forward to in the upcoming season.

Season two will pick up from the aftermath of Anne and Ann Walker’s wedding. BBC One is yet to announce the date for the release of season 2 of Gentleman Jack.
