Friends Reunion: How You Delaying? Do We Have A New Release Date After Its Premiere Delay?

HBO Max’s highly anticipated Friends Reunion Special will be delayed as Hollywood production is shut down amid the coronavirus pandemic.

No Release Date

There is no projected release date for this date, but a spokesman for the company told that at this stage, they are expecting the delay of HBO Max with the Friends Reunion Special.

Friends Reunion Will Start Filming In May

The one-time special has been scheduled to film between 23 March and 24 March, but because numerous sets and productions have shut down all over the world to avoid the spread of the latest coronavirus, the Friends reunion has also been stopped. It will now film at the earliest in May.

Cast Of Friends Reunion

The special was a launch title for HBO Max, WarnerMedia’s New Streaming Service, putting together original cast Jennifer Aniston (Rachel), Courtney Cox (Monica), Lisa Kudrow (Phoebe), David Schwimmer (Ross), Matthew Perry (Chandler) and Matt LeBlanc (Joey).

According to the reports, the cast will earn more than double its previous episode fee for the reunion and be paid between $2.5 million and $3 million for the particular case.

Friends Reunion Is A Big Thing For HBO Max

The special Friends is a pretty big deal for HBO Max. It was the first time that the cast appeared on television since the series came out in 2004. With the special in May, initial subscribers for HBO Max may have gone up. It is the kind of event programming that streamers are searching for — a form of high-profile show that Disney Plus finds with most recently Love is Blind, The Mandalorian, and Netflix with Stranger Things.

Friends Reunion Will Be HBO Max Exclusive

HBO Max will also be Friends’ private streaming den. The series was available for streaming on Netflix until 1 January. WarnerMedia paid nearly $425 million for the series rights. WarnerMedia did not say whether the pandemic of coronavirus impacted the launch of HBO Max.

HBO Max

HBO Max, which will be released in May, will merge HBO’s famous program library with new shows and films and Warner Bros. films and new original projects. This is expected to launch at 14.99 dollars a month — the current price for HBO Now — making it one of the most competitive services.
