For All Mankind Season 2: Plotline
The science fiction series visualizes a world in which the Soviet Union defeated the United States on the moon, and the space race never ended. For All Mankind Season 1 was premiered last November on Apple TV +. The story takes place in an alternate timeline where Russia’s Aleksey Leonov becomes the first to land on the moon that downgraded the US space agency and follows the results that led to the advancement of the space program in the respective countries.
The show focuses on showing an alternative history of the possible outcome, the 1960s space race that never ended, and the results that would have followed if the Russians had been the first to reach the moon instead of America. The next season may focus on the sacrifices people will make to do the greater good for the space program. It is also rumored that Season 2 may not choose the story of the end of Season 1, but may introduce Time Jump in the early 1980s.
