The production of Netflix and Shonda Rhimes began to rise with the first season of Bridgerton expected later in 2024. Bridgerton has been renewed but also waiting to start shooting its second season in the summer of 2024, according to a production schedule.
Release Date Of Bridgerton Season 1
We do not know precisely when Season 1 of Bridgerton would hit Netflix at the time of initial publishing. We have a good idea what a big cast list means in the first season, but again, no release date.
If you do not know, the new Shonda Rhimes show is the first in Netflix’s production companies. Since joining the Netflix service, the production company had been linked to ABC shows such as Grey’s Anatomy and How To Get Around With Murder.
Season 2 Of Bridgerton
So let’s get to season 2 in Bridgerton. It is important to note that Netflix itself (or Shondaland itself) announced something formal about the show’s future beyond season 1.
Given the scope and precious materials of the show; however, it should come from eight books to cover, it is not a complete surprise, in theory.
The production schedule, as per the reports, has renewed Bridgerton’s second season and is scheduled to begin production in July 2024. Only one filming location is currently listed with Uxbridge. However, we know that it will probably spread to other areas like Somerset.
Season 2 Production Completes By May 2024
The report also claimed that the timetable for season 2 should be completed by May 2024. It has a long filming schedule close to the fellow period drama show, The Crown, much like season 1 of Bridgerton.
So why so new renovation? Well, despite the timeline, Netflix must have pulled the trigger early to reduce the time over the seasons. With the view of the current schedule, between seasons 1 and 2, it will be possible to wait a year and a half.
What’s Netflix’s Bridgerton About?
Bridgerton will be a period drama based on Julia Quinn’s love novels. She was compared to Jane Austen’s likes. The new series was written between 2000 and 2006 with a total of eight novels.
The first season of this series will adapt the first novel, “The Duke and I,” which depicts a family of high class living in London and the countryside.
As you may know, Netflix and Shondaland (and Shonda Rhimes, by extension) have a global distribution contract with the streaming platform, which is going to see many big new shows come out over the next few years.
