The Last Witch Hunter 2: 5 Things We Know So Far

The film was a fantasy adventure so would Vin Diesel go back to the Last Witch Hunter 2 for more? Despite the current franchise supremacy of Vin Diesel, it is impossible to imagine a time when it was hesitant to follow suit. He transmitted 2 Fast 2 Furious and xXx 2 for other projects, but it was his return in 2009 that he moved his career to a new level.

#1. The Last Witch Hunter 2 Was Teased In 2015

Once the original was released, Vin Diesel told the fans that the film they needed to start planning The Last Witch Hunter 2 instantly excited. The actor labelled the required Axe and Cross series, and the studio decided to block his time for a follow-up schedule.

#2. Collections And Budget

Word of a series was instantly cold after the release of The Last Witch Hunter with a film of less than $150 million worldwide, covering an estimated budget of $90 million. During its theatrical run, the film was unlikely to benefit from marketing expenses. The fantasy project also took less than $30 million, especially poorly in the US.

#3. The Series Seems Dead

The poor financial return of the film seems to exclude The Last Witch Hunter 2, but Diesel isn’t one of the ones he wants to let go of a series. Riddick’s character in Pitch Black has made him a star, but after The Chronicles Of Riddick’s misleading box office in 2004, the series seemed dead. He refused to give up and helped fund a lower budget follow-up called Riddick, which was a success back in 2013.

#4. Not In Operation

xXx: The Return Of Xander Cage, after the box-office flop in 2005, is the same with xXx: State of the Union with Ice Cube-the xXx four and the Riddick 4 is already expected. The Last Witch Hunter may not have shot the box office, but Diesel may find a means of keeping the Axis and Cross series running, whether it’s a smaller budget sequence, a video game or another format. But considering the record for Diesel, a follow-up is not really out of doubt either. The Last Witch Hunter 2 doesn’t seem to be in operation.

#5. Franchises

Vin Diesel has appeared in every entry since and is going to come back for Fast & Furious 9 again. He also returned for Riddick and xXx: The Return Of Xander Cage in 2017. The Last Witch Hunter was planned as another possible action star series in which he plays an immortal killer in New York’s modern era. Diesel’s Kaulder is based on the actor’s character Dungeons & Dragons. The fantasy film was the star of Rose Leslie, Elijah Wood, and Michael Caine.
