Sylvester Stallone shared some unreleased scenes!
Sylvester Stallone has released a quick look at the new scene from the upcoming Rocky IV directing cut. In July, Stallone announced that he was starting work on a director’s cut of Rocky IV, and has since been known to put out some strange new material. The movie was originally produced at a time when the United States and Russia were still locked in a cold war for supremacy, and thus, on Ivan Drago (Dolph Larfren) raising the franchise with a seemingly invincible foe. Although the successful franchise has shifted its focus to Balbuta as a major contender, Rocky fans remain a dedicated bunch and the idea of a Rocky IV direction cut has already woken up many fans.
A battle was shown in Creed and Drago!
The images show the fight between Creed and Drago in which viewers can see first hand the brutality of the Russian fighter. When Apollo is knocked out for the first time in the opening moments of the competition, the scene serves as a precursor to the fierce attack that Daroga eventually attacks the Lund Creed. There are more who do not want anything taken from them.
In addition to the removal of footage, the Stallone cut gives fans the opportunity to see small bits and pieces that survived the dramatic cuts that would surely make for an interesting end product when work on the cut was finally released. It’s also important to note that whatever Stallone does with this Rocky IV cut, whatever it is and what rubs the wrong way, bleeds the wrong way, that the core of the Theatrical Cut movie will always be available.
