Riverdale: Season 5 Release Date, Cast, Storyline And Other Major Details You Should Know

With the Archie Comics of the past, the CW’s reimagination throws Jughead and the gang into the noir universe in which teens run underground casinos and fight against bears, because why not hell?

Showrunner Roberto Aguirre-Sacasa was at one point, also considering turning the show into a zombie apocalypse. Although we doubt this will ever happen, it looks like the series won’t die soon, either.

Riverdale has described The CW, along with the Arrowverse line-up, as one of its flagships, thanks to Archie Andrews and his apparent aversion to shirts in no small part.

We are sure that Riverdale will be revamped for at least another season because of the excitement that surrounds the small town, so here is what you need to know about Season Five.

Release Date:

Assuming that the CW wants to send us another dose of the folly of Riverdale, Archie and the gang are scheduled to return in October 2024 in keeping with previous seasons’ trends.

Unless nothing changes, UK viewers will catch Riverdale Season five on Netflix every week, coming one day after the US release date.

Cast Details:

The cast of season 5 will include:

  • KJ Apa as Archie Andrews
  • Lili Reinhart as Betty Cooper
  • Camila Mendes as Veronica Lodge
  • Casey Cott as Kevin Keller
  • Madelaine Petsch as Cheryl Blossom
  • Charlies Melton as Reggie Mantle

These stars will not appear in season 5:

  • Cole Sprouse as Jughead
  • Ashleigh Murray as Josie McCoy

Plot Details:

Although it is difficult to guess what happens early this morning, it is sure to assume that Archie will take his clothes off more than once, Betty will once again unleash her dark side and Veronica will continue to take on new assets as the youngest company owner in the world.

A widely awaited crossover between Riverdale and Sabrina could take place given the various ties between the shows, but there are no reports about this.

However, what we can conclude is a cross-over between Riverdale and Katy Keene. The producers have announced it already, but it is uncertain how the time difference for each series will take place.
