Ozark concentrates on the Byrde family. Marty, a middle class and very depressed financial planner associated with a long list of illegal activities, mainly money laundering for a Mexican drug cartel, is introduced to fans. Bateman has won two nominations from Emmy for his criminal image.
Wendy Byrde, portrayed by Laura Linney, is equally convincing, if not more. Wendy’s life with her will save her life and her children in a broken marriage with Marty. Wendy’s real talent as a criminal master shines as the series progresses.
The basic premise of the series is that the Byrde family adapts to their new lives, deals with local criminals, and survives for ample time to repay the Mexican cartel’s debt.
Will Season 3 Be The End Of ‘Ozark’?
Season 3 promises 10 episodes, and Bateman tweeted the return of the series. He confirmed that he is the sole producer, and in season 3, he is going to direct the first 2 and potentially the last 2 out of 10 episodes.
Ozark Will Be Beyond 3 Seasons
Will the third season be Ozark’s last? After this comment made by Mundy, we do not think so: “We have always spoken about it for five seasons. It may be four, seven, but for us, it still seemed a decent number.”
You should expect the whole Byrde family to come back for now. As for the wife of Byrde Wendy, this character took a clear lead in taking the men of the house. This included building a floating casino rather than leaving the Australian Gold Coast.
Watch for more influence between Wendy and Ruth (Julia Garner), the other powerful woman who is going to do something but get on with.
Ozark Might Surpass 6 Seasons
With these new plot twists and rumors that Ruth may kill Wendy to claim her place at the top, Ozark is expecting to remain a favorite Netflix fan. The series could well surpass the six seasons claimed by the famous Sopranos.
Although the cast and crew of Ozark are excited to push beyond Season 3, it’s up to Ozark for more seasons in the end.
