Obi-Wan Kenobi will run for one season only!

The show was to run for six episodes, and many wondered if it spanned many years of Kenobi’s life between Star Wars: Episode III – Revenge of the Sith and Star Wars: A New Hope, over multiple seasons. Will work. But since then the series has undergone changes that have reduced the episode count to just four as the scripts are rewritten. It looks like it will be an untitled Kenobi series.

Kathleen Kennedy talked about the upcoming show!

Lucasfilm president Kathleen Kennedy recently spoke about the future of Star Wars and revealed that Obi-Wan Kenobi’s show will only be one season. Discussing the status of the series and the work that director Deborah Chow is doing before production begins, she described the show as a limited series, indicating that it will only last one season. Obi-Wan Kenobi’s Disney + show confirmed to be in season one is the latest disappointing development from the project. It will now reportedly only have four episodes after being delayed indefinitely.

If these episodes are similar in length to The Mandorlion, they could drop around 2 hours of new Obi-Wan material. Considering all the delays and the various contours of the project, it has helped over the years, but it may come as no surprise that Kenby influenced the decision to show a limited series. The plan would also make the show’s setting and story more interesting to monitor, as the show could lead to A New Hope. Of course, just because Lucasfilm is planning Obi-Wan Kenobi that one season doesn’t mean the decision can’t change, because another season could be on the way if the series comes to Disney.
