Tensions between the two countries India and China is increasing day by day. Troubles began when soldiers of both countries battled near the Pangong Tso lake in Ladakh. Now the Government of India hits China virtually as a total of 59 Chinese apps, including Tik Tok, SHAREit, Shein, etc. are completely banned. Government Blocked Multiple Chinese Apps
Today, the Government of India chose to ban 59 Chinese apps, including Tik Tok, UC Browser, Shareit, Cam Scanner, Club Factory, and more. The Ministry of Information Technology, India, made the announcement officially and said that the reason behind blocking the Chinese apps is for ensuring the safety of the Indian mobile and internet users against the theft of data. The government claimed that using Chinese apps is prejudicial to national security, sovereignty, and integrity.
Now, the Indian citizens will not able to find the banned Chinese apps on Google Play Store and Apple App Store. The users in India who still have these apps on their smartphones can access until they uninstall them.
Government Receiving Complaints Regarding Chinese Apps
The Ministry of Information Technology also made some shocking revelations that they are getting grievances that these Chinese apps are misusing the data of the Indian users. These apps are unauthorisedly transferring all the private information to the servers which have locations outside India.
Many Indian Citizens complained about the theft of data to the Government. Apart from banning the Chinese Apps, when the tensions begin between China and India, the Indians also started the boycott of Chinese goods.
