Black Panther 2: Will We Have A New Black Panther?

When Black panther released in 2018, the whole world chanted “Wakanda Forever”. The movie became one of the highest-grossing movies of all time. The sequel of the movie was announced at Disney’s D23 convention. The announcement of the sequel made all the fans excited. Everyone is excited to see the Black Panther.

But, the return of Chadwick Boseman as T’Challa, the Black Panther is uncertain. It seems that the actor is in the middle of a contract dispute with Marvel Studios. it is believed that Boseman is unhappy with the fees he is getting for the sequel. He has demanded an increase in his payment which Marvel Studios has refused.

Does Marvel Have A Backup?

There is also speculation that Marvel Studios has a backup plan ready in case Boseman decides to part ways with Marvel. The Studio is planning to introduce Namor in the movie. There is also news that Shuri played by Letitia Wright will replace T’Challa as the new Black Panther.

In a recent Instagram post posted by Chadwick Boseman, the actor seems to have lost a lot of weight, making his fans worried.

Movie director Ryan Coogler was quoted saying that “the team is taking their time with it to get it right.”

Release Date And The Cast

The title of the movie which will release on 8 May 2024 is still being decided. The sequel will see the return of most of the cast from the first movie. Ryan Coogler will write and direct the sequel. Lupita Nyong’o will return as Nakia. Danai Gurira as Okoye, Letitia Wright as Shuri, Winston Duke as M’Baku, Daniel Kaluuya as W’Kabi, and Martin Freeman as Everett Ross will also reprise their roles.
