Sherlock star Martin Freeman returns to Impressive in the new British crime drama A Confession.
The actor plays the role of Detective Superintendent Steve Fulcher, who investigates the disappearance of Sian O’Callaghan, 22, and reconstructs his previous movements before disappearing. Perhaps Faith Sian is still alive and holding herself against her will, Fulcher embarks on an immediate large-scale search operation.
Through diligent and thorough police work, Fulcher and his team discovered CCTV footage of Sian on High Street, which provided important leads in the investigation. Racing against time, Fulcher approaches a prime suspect, close to local taxi driver Christopher Halliwell, and finally finds himself standing on the basis of a life-changing choice between following police protocol and catching an assassin.
Jeff Pope is the writer of A confession (Philomena, Stan, and Ollie) and Paul Andrew Williams (Broadchurch) is the director of A confession. The show’s stars, Siobhan Finneran (Happy Valley, The Stranger) and Imelda Staunton (Vera Drake, Harry Potter franchise), who was recently announced, will play Queen Elizabeth in Season 5 of The Crown.
