Kane Dane
Netflix dropped its first German-language series Dark in December 2017 and was almost immediately a surprise success. Due to its commercialization of European international stuff, this series quickly picked up audiences – a child disappears in an eager, suburban area, and the show was partly set in the 1980s – but it turned out to be so much more than that. Instead, German film partners Baran bo Odar and Jantje Friese’s time-travel series is an in-depth history of the struggle for good and evil, the essence of free will, and the fate of the world, subjects which are expressed in ties with men.
Season 2 came one and a half years after the series started to air, and came back more significant than before, gaining a lot of attention online because of its more complicated plot and a relentless stream of surprises that warrant further clarification. Renewal Status:
Just a few weeks before the premiere of Season 2 in May 2019, Dark Showrunner Baran bo Odar said that the series’ third and last season was greenlit.
Release Date:
Once Odar revealed that the show would be returning, he also said it was due in 2024. It is difficult to say when Season 3 arrives — Season 1 premiered in December 2017, and Season 2 dropped a one-and-a-half year later, on 21 June 2019 — but the shooting was wrapped up in mid-December 2019, and the release in Summer 2024 seems likely.

Plot Details:
Dark is the type of show that threatens to give you a headache if you begin to theorize. Time-travel rules on the show: Everything is a loop, and the past can not be changed, and there are a lot of incest and complicated family relationships, including the discovery that Elisabeth and Charlotte are mothers of each other.
But whether you brained the world before your head exploded or were so confused about Season 2 that you gave up trying to predict the next thing — it’s all going to serve in Season 3.
