While the series has landed in some major controversies time and again due to some of the issues it dealt with overtime, the plot managed to create a huge stir amongst subscribers. The show has always been a huge crowd puller with each and every season. However, showrunner Brian Yorkey has talked about the fourth season being the final one and the reason being it.

Apparently, Yorkey explained that high school shows should not overstay their welcome and stay longer than actual high school. He said that it was a joint decision and the graduation just felt like the logical ending point of the show. Not only the showrunner but even one of the cast members seems to be agreeing with the conclusion of the series. By the looks of it, a spinoff might be on the table right now but might happen in the coming time.

Will Clay Jensen Be A Part Of Any Spinoff In The Future?

Moreover, even in an exclusive interview with one of the lead star of the series Dylan Minnette who played the role of Clay Jensen, when the idea of a spinoff show was asked, it seems like the actor was not quite on board with it and he said that he has no idea how that would even look like! So, we might not see Clay for a spinoff as of now! It seems like the fourth season was pretty much the final end for the high school students and for the fans as well.
