Turn Up Charlie was Netflix’s newest comedy show created by Idris Elba and Gary Reich, the show premiered on March 15, 2019, and almost a year later Netflix has canceled the show, fans are disappointed for sure but Netflix has made its final decision.

WHY DID TURN UP CHARLIE GOT CANCELED?
One of the major reasons for cancelation of Turn Up Charlie could be that Idris Elba has often seen doing serious roles and this was the first time he ventured out to play a character for a comedy show, Idris himself said: “This character is out of his comfort zone”.
Idris plays the character of a Dj who is trying to win back his music career while he is also seen as a nanny to his best friend’s 11-year-old daughter.
Idris also opened up more about the show in an interview when he said that the show is mainly about parenting, he has taken an active role in writing the script as he mentioned most of the stories are from his own experience of becoming a father.
IDRIS ON THE CANCELATION OF TURN UP CHARLIE
Idris is a very busy actor and he is mostly booked for so many upcoming movies that he barely gets time, however, he was hopeful to get another season of the show from Netflix but in April 2020 the news broke that Netflix has axed the show as ‘Netflix and Idris couldn’t see eye to eye on the upcoming season’.
