The Stranger: Netflix Updates On Its Season 2?

British novel writer Harlan Coben’s novel The Stranger has been adapted into a show by the same name by Netflix. The British mystery thriller has gained a lot of fans since it released.

The show is created by Harlan Coben. It is written by Danny Brocklehurst and directed by Hannah Quinn and by Daniel O’Hara. It is a Red Production Company’s project. Harlan Coben Danny Brocklehurst, Richard Fee, and Nicola Shindler are the executive producers.

Will There Be A Season 2?

Netflix is yet to announce the renewal of The Stranger for Season 2. But if that happens, then the show is expected to be released sometime in 2021.

Harlan Coben had earlier stated that he was not keen on having a second season. He wants the show to be remembered for its quality and not the number of seasons the show had.

There are high chances of a season 2 as the season 1 has left the viewers with a lot of unanswered questions.

Storyline

The storyline of season 1 revolves around a secret told to Adam Price by a stranger in a baseball cap. Season 2 of The Stranger will follow a different story but will retain the topic of Season 1.

The Cast

Richard Armitage is the lead actor in the first season of the series who portrays the role of  Adam Price. The cast also includes Siobhan Finneran as DS Johanna Griffin, Jennifer Saunders as Heidi Doyle, Shaun Dooley as Doug Tripp, and Paul Kaye as Patrick Katz. Dervla Kirwan as Corinne Price, Kadiff Kirwan as DC Wesley Ross,  Ella-Rae Smith as Daisy Hoy, and others are also part of the show.

Season 1 of The Stranger with a total of 8 episodes came on Netflix on January 30, 2020.
