When the news came out that The Handmaid’s Tale was renewed for a fourth installment on the streaming service Hulu, fans got more than excited for seeing the new season.
They also thought to get it soon. Well, this is a routine because the show has been releasing yearly on the platform for all the fans to enjoy.
Here is what the pattern of all the release dates ranging from the first season looks like!
Till now, all the fans used to get release dates earlier in the year with the show coming for the first time in April of 2017 then continuing from 2018.
But then in 2019, a slight delay occurred and thus fans received this show a bit late in June of the same year.

As now, it feels like the fourth installment of this dystopian drama series is not going to come out any soon. Rumors of this famous delay were already hinted to the fans earlier in 2019 when editor Wendy Hallam Martin happened to speak to the Mayday Podcast.
She revealed how all the writers are set at work on the series as well as working out a potential tale on how to include the sequel to the original book by Margaret Atwood in continuation.
Warren Littlefield has also confirmed the delay and says the show will come back in fall!
Now, the delay has officially been confirmed by Warren Littlefield, the executive producer of The Handmaid’s Tale, who told this to the Television Critics Association winter press tour.
He revealed that they are going to start the principal photography on the second of March and they will release the installment in fall.
