What Is The Premise Of The Rising Of The Shield Hero?

The series follows the life of a youth Naofumi Iwatani. He is an easy-going Japanese boy. He and three other boys are summoned to become Cardinal Heroes. They have to fight the monsters known as Waves. Each Hero has a piece of traditional equipment. Naofumi has a Shield with him. But, the young boy is betrayed by a young princess who steals all his belongings. She even accuses him of physical assault. As Naofumi is mocked by everyone around him, the young warrior decides to train alone. He also has to work to make ends meet. One day he buys a tanuki demi-human girl and an egg. A bird-like monster emerges from the egg. Together with the tanuki and monster, Naofumi starts a journey to unravel the mystery behind the Waves.

In the upcoming season, Naofumi, along with his friends Raphtalia, and Filo will continue on their journey. They will be joined by a new companion. Naofumi and his friends will have to face a new enemy in the new season of The Rising Of The Shield Hero.
