There have been a lot of rumors lately that Henry Cavill is in talks with Warner Bros. Studios to return as the savior of the city of Metropolis. The actor has played the role of Superman in three of DC Extended Universe films. But later on, it seemed as though Cavill had moved away from the superhero character.

Even though there are speculations that Cavill will reprise the role of the superhero and become Superman once again, the news has not been confirmed by Warner Bros. or the actor himself yet.
A Standalone Film Or A Small Role?
It is still not known whether Cavill will return as Superman in a standalone film or will he play a small part in some other superhero film in DC Extended Universe. DCEu currently has no plans of making a standalone Man Of Steel film. It is most likely that Superman will make an appearance in some other DCEU film like Shazam 2, Aquaman 2, Black Adam, or a Justice League film. The actor is lending his voice for Zack Snyder’s cut of Justice League.

Henry had recently said that his Superman cape was still in his closet. He has not turned his back to the role. He further said that there are a few aspects of the superhero that the actor was keen on exploring.

Henry recently posted a picture of himself in the gym. The gym was all dark. Cavill was standing at the entrance of the gym. All the workout equipment is visible in the photograph. The actor is showing off his biceps in the picture.
Even though Cavill did not give any Superman-related caption to picture, the fans started speculating that the actor is returning as Clark Kent aka Superman.
