The star of YouTube and comedian Liza Koshy will preside in the dance series “So You Think You Can Dance” and “Wipeout,” which will come to Quibi.
“Floored” gives two competing teams of skillful dancers a routine as the dance floor itself raises, tilts, drops, rocks, and flips to the music in time. The dancers would also have to avoid items that are thrown away.
“As someone in their living room which hosts one’s dance parties, I’m more than happy to host this one,” said Koshy in a statement. “I’m very excited to cheer and to shout for the brave, concentrated, and agile as they go up to the platform or landing.”
Floored’ will release on Quibi on April 20, 2020.
In every ‘Floored’ episode, there will be two dancing teams battling it on an insane dance floor. They do their hardest to execute an already established routine on a dance floor with a life of their own. The dance floor is rising, tilting, falling, moving, and changing to music. Also, the dancers must avoid obstacles that are thrown away when least anticipated.
Quibi has not yet released a ‘Floored’ trailer.
Koshy is the co-creator, executive producer, and star of the YouTube Original Comedy series “Liza On Demand” with 17.7 million YouTube subscribers. In its first week, the first episode of the second year show was YouTube’s most-watched initial debut episode.
Koshy’s first film, “Work It,” is seen next alongside Sabrina Carpenter, a dance comedy director produced by Alicia Keys and Leslie Morgenstein. Hulu’s “Freakish” and Tyler Perry’s “Boo” are other acting credits.
Koshy has presented a two-season revival of Nickelodeon’s “Double Dare” and gave Ryan Seacrest’s “Dick Clark’s New Year’s Rockin’ Eve.” The CAA, Carter Media Party, Hansen Jacobson, and Perspective represent Koshy.
“Floored” is produced by Koshy, Michael Agbabian, Dwight D. Smith, Heath Luman and Mary Celenza, and the Executive Control Media of the project.
