Firefly Lane: Release Date

The series was first affirmed in February 2019 when it was declared Netflix would be ordering ten episodes. According to the information provided by the sources, the release date for the upcoming series Firefly Lane has still to be confirmed other than that Netflix has provided a broad 2024 release date.

Firefly Lane season 1: Cast

The cast list for the series has been firmly making during 2019 with some excellent casting additions.

The first casting was for one of the main characters of Tully Hart. Katherine Heigl is mostly recognized for her work on Suits. The news appeared from Netflix’s See What’s Next report.

There are three cast members have been cast to portray the three years. For Tully, London Robertson will present Tully in the 1970s, Ali Skovbye in the 1980s and Katherine Heigl as the eldest.

More cast additions were announced including Beau Garret and Sarah Chalke in August.

There are lots of casts which announced in September 2019 with Ali Skovbye, Yael Yurman, Roan Curtis, Jon Ecker & Brandon Jay joining the cast.

Once Upon A Time star, Quinn Lord was announced to be starring in the series playing the role of Young Sean in late October 2019. “Older” Sean will be performed by Jason McKinnon.

It was stated that Chelah Horsdal would be joining the cast in November 2019. Her credits add The Man in the High Castle on Amazon, AMC’s Hell on Wheels, You Me Her and When Calls the Heart.

We got a word in January 2024 that Jon-Michael Ecker will be performing the character of Max Brody. Jon has earlier arrived in Narcos on Netflix and also starred in Queen of the South.

Firefly Lane season 1: Plot

The series is an adaptation of the book from the rich author Kristin Hannah who is also behind Winter Garden, The Nightingale, and The Great Alone.

The novel is the first of two books with Fly Away being book number 2 and could be covered in different series.

The series itself is established in the mid-1970s and reflects the coming of age story that crosses three years. It mainly centers on Kate Mularkey and Tully Hart and their relationship from beginning to today.

Firefly Lane: Production

As of October 2019, the series is yet being shot with filming having begun on September 29th.
