An Accused Pedophile At Colorado Jail Died After He was Found Unresponsive In Jail

A Colorado inmate who was was accused of killing a 9-year-old girl with narcotics to have physical assault with her last month was found unresponsive in his jail cell. Authorities said that the man died on Monday.

The reason of death for 34-year-old Jeffrey Beagley was not immediately known. Officials were awaiting the outcomes of toxicology tests and stated their investigation was continuing.

The 34-year-old had been facing charges of first-degree murder, reckless manslaughter, attempted physical assault, and child abuse ending in the death.

Investigators said that he had a bottle of chloroform delivered to him before a day he called 911 to report the girl’s death. According to post-mortem reports, the girl died of chloroform poisoning.

Detectives have not released Beagley’s relation to the 9-year-old girl.

According to sources, in a shed on the property where the girl was discovered, investigators found a tarp made into a privacy tent that had pillows and blankets, a computer, and a bottle of chloroform.

The 34-year-old was taken in custody on December 14 and jailed without bond.

Beagley was also facing extra charges for alleged child lewd video found on his phone and computer.

The 34-year-old man had not entered a plea before his death.

The investigators are investigating his death as the reason for his death has not been confirmed as the authorities are waiting for the toxicology tests.
