It took a surprisingly long time, but Top Boy’s next season is scheduled for filming in Spring 2024. After an impressive return to TV, we should not be shocked to see more Top Boy shortly.
Top Boy is an original series of crime dramas by Ronan Bennett. The show was once hit by the British TV network Channel 4. Many felt that Top Boy would never return to the little computer after its cancelation. The Canadian rapper, Drake, was a big fan of this show and even promised to fund the entire development of the 3rd season. Netflix will take the show with Drake as an executive producer. Ashley Walters returned as Dushane, and creator Ronan Bennett came back in the final season to compose.
It is the fourth installment of the Top Boy franchise, but the second installment created by Netflix. Channel 4 produced the first two seasons in 2011 and 2013, respectively. Season 3, which was Netflix’s first season, ended with an unexpected twist.

During the finale, Dushane was seen visiting Jamie in jail and tried to ensure his former rival’s release. Dushane also indicated a potential relationship between Jamie and himself that could lead to a further split between Dushane and Sully. In the finale, we also saw Sarah and Lee were indeed undercover cops who investigated Dushane.
Renewal Status:
It was reported that two seasons were scheduled for its renewal before Top Boy had even landed at Netflix. It took some time to come in the next season, but Netflix has now announced that Top Boy is preparing to film in spring 2024.
Given appearance in September 2019, for a second season, Netflix took longer than expected to revive Top Boy. At first, it was revealed that Top Boy would have two seasons, but Netflix just confirmed it.

Release Date:
It depends entirely on the time of the shooting and everything that goes into the post-production of the show. A 2024 release date would have been bright, but we are going to label Top Boy later this year, according to executive producer Drake.
Cast Details:
The best performers will return to Top Boy’s cast. Several different social media channels from Netflix have authenticated it.
His Bafta Rising Star performance will be remembered with several eyes by artist Michael Ward, who portrays Jamie. 2019 was a great year for Ward, who was not only remembered as a Top Boy breakout hero but also for his courage to act in Blue Story.
In the UK, Blue Story became extremely controversial because of a mass battle in Birmingham amongst 100 people. The British crime drama will be released in US cinemas later this March.
